Temporary
The salary of a temporary worker is usually calculated on the basis of hourly or daily rates and paid flexibly via KSK Personal’s payroll accounting department.
Wages
Yes, the wages of temporary staff are significantly higher than those of permanent employees. But please remember that no temporary company can guarantee you a permanent assignment. That’s why you should put some of the money aside so that you have financial resources even when you’re not working.
Depending on the current phase of your career and your personal situation, temporary work can offer numerous advantages.
More flexibility
There are many reasons for a greater need for more flexibility:
- Travel
- Work-life balance
- More time for you
- the family
- Friends and hobbies
- Social Network
Work situation
But it’s not just the personal reasons that you should consider – more flexibility at work also brings a high level of satisfaction in the workplace.
- Planning security in operations
- Regulated working hours
- Work in the workload you really want
- If you work more, you will also be paid for it
Training and further education
Do you use the opportunities to broaden your professional horizons? When was the last time you had further training?
- Expand or deepen your skills
- Regular further training with participation in the costs
- see what others do better or worse
- Try out different roles or industries
According to surveys, more than 69% of applicants under the age of 30 expect to develop their professional skills in the coming months. Almost 46% expect to expand their area of responsibility.
Temporary workers are entitled to the same fringe benefits as employees with a permanent employment contract. This means, for example, that you are entitled to the same number of vacation days and the same travel allowances.
KSK Personal AG pays the following allowances
- Saturday and Sunday, as well as public holidays and night from 22:00 to 06:00
- Depending on the client
- Time compensation 10% = 24 min additional working time at night
- Time compensation 20% = 48 min additional working time at night
Companies hire employees on a temporary basis for many different reasons: As a replacement during parental leave or other absences; in times of particularly high business volume or to support special projects; to analyze whether a new position can be converted into a permanent position. But also often to look at new employees and carefully evaluate: “Would these be potential new employees?”. This type of employment is called “try and hire”, “working on a temporary basis” with the possibility of being taken on afterwards.
Vacation pay
Temporary employees are entitled to the same number of vacation days as employees with a permanent employment contract. This means that they are entitled to four weeks per year on a full-time basis (42.5 hours). Two of these weeks should be consecutive. KSK pays vacation pay to all temporary employees from the start of each assignment, together with the usual hourly wage, which is shown in the payslip but is withheld. Vacation pay is paid to temporary employees who apply for vacation.
13. wage
The 13th salary is part of the hourly wage and is also visibly declared in the payslip.
The number of temporary employment agencies in Switzerland is quite large and, as in every sector, there are black sheep.
From our point of view, you should pay attention to the following points:
- Get precise advice, especially on the subject of social benefits
- Great transparency: ask other employees, are there references on the homepage of employees or customers
- Are you given the opportunity to talk to other employees?
- Are the legal framework conditions explained to you
